Oregon's senior running back Legarrette Blount threw a devastating punch to the jaw of Boise State defensive end Byron Hout after the Broncos beat the Ducks 19-8 on Thursday.

The blow has caused a media frenzy and public condemnation of his actions.

Blount's career as an Oregon player needs to be over, wrote Pete Fiutak a sport columnist for Fox.

Blount will certainly be suspended for the foreseeable future, and probably for the rest of his senior season. He could also be charged for assault.
