The final two episodes of Season 3 of “The Legend of Korra,” Nickelodeon’s sequel to “Avatar: The Last Airbender” were leaked Friday morning after huge fan anticipation for the end of the season. Nickelodeon released the episodes on their own website shortly after, possibly to counter the leak. The episodes, “Enter the Void” and “Venom of the Red Lotus,” were the last confirmed episodes of the anime series for Nick as fans await news about Season 4's release details.

If the episodes were the end of the series, it was certainly exciting. The season concluded with the resolution of the conflict between the Airbenders and the Red Lotus terrorists. Zahir seemed to be on the verge of destroying Korra, the Avatar, before Jinora banded the Airbenders together, using their combined power to overwhelm Zahir and allow Korra to escape. Korra was not quite out of danger yet though, as the Airbenders still needed to extract the metallic Red Lotus poison from her body.

With Zahir locked up, peace was restored. However, Korra is still not well and has been left in a wheel chair after her trying experience with the Red Lotus. Jinora, after her courageous display, was named the first master Airbender in generations and seemed primed to take over as the main character if the series continues.

“The Legend of Korra” has aired on Nickelodeon for all three of its seasons, but after low ratings, the network moved the series to a strictly online release following episode 8 of Season 3. The series continued on Nickelodeon’s website with considerable popularity. The show's creators have confirmed that the show will return for a fourth season online.
