Caity Lotz as Sara
“Legends of Tomorrow” star Caity Lotz teased how bad things are going for the Legends in Season 2, episode 16, titled “Doomworld.” The CW

The Legends are going to find themselves in a very difficult situation in next week’s installment of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

In Season 2, episode 16, titled “Doomworld,” the Legion of Doom — with the use of the Spear of Destiny — creates a new reality, in which each of the Legends suffers their own personal punishments.

“It’s bad. Real bad,” Caity Lotz, who plays Sara on the series, told The Hollywood Reporter of the circumstance the Legends find themselves in at the beginning of the episode. “Things get so bad that it seems like there might be no coming back from it. They're really going to have to summon all of their strength and mind power to figure out how to undo this.”

As seen in the trailer for the episode, Sara and Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) now work for Damien Darhk (Neal Mc Donough); Ray (Brandon Routh) is a janitor; and Stein (Victor Garber) is an employee at S.T.A.R. Labs under the supervision of a rather arrogant Jax (Franz Drameh). Despite all these alterations, Mick (Dominic Purcell) — who betrayed his fellow Legends at the end of last episode — appears unchanged.

In the promo clip, Mick admits that he “made a terrible mistake” by handing the Spear of Destiny to the Legion of Doom. To make up for his fault, Mick seems to assemble the team together so they can undo what the Legion did. However, the synopsis for episode 16 states that being the hero is hard for Mick, so his mission to save the world by bringing the Legends back together won’t be easy.

But there’s at least one Legend who fully trusts him, and that’s Amaya. “With Mick, I think he’s terrifying for everyone, but Amaya,” Richardson-Sellers told Collider. “She really trusts him and sees something in him that she’s willing to fight for. She’s the one who sees the good behind everything he does, so for her, there’s no real question. I think for the other teammates, it’s much more of a struggle to have to put their futures and their lives in the hands of Mick.”

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 2, episode 16 airs on Tuesday, March 28 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
