“Legends of Tomorrow” executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed some exciting details about this week’s Season 2, episode 8 of the CW series.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Guggenheim said that Legion of Doom members Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) are going to have a couple of new allies in the episode titled “The Chicago Way.”

“We introduce Malcolm Merlyn [John Barrowman] to the Legion of Doom as well as discover what the Legion’s agenda for the season is,” Guggenheim told the news outlet of what fans can expect from the show’s midseason finale.

The exec producer added that the Legion of Doom is going to team up with Al Capone in the episode. Al Capone was an American gangster who rose to prominence during the Prohibition era as the co-founder and boss of the Chicago Outfit — an Italian-American organized crime syndicate based in Chicago which dates back to the 1910s.

While facing Legion of Doom and Al Capone won’t be easy for the Legends, it seems that the new generation of time police shouldn’t worry that much, as Mick — a.k.a. Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) — appears to be pretty confident in leading the team for this week’s mission. “We do this my way … like a criminal,” Mick tells his fellow Legends in the trailer for the episode.

At some point in the episode, the Heat Gun-wielding character will also be reunited with his late partner Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).

Guggenheim remains coy about Leonard’s return, but he did confirm to Entertainment Weekly that fans are going to see the character before the end of the episode. “It’s an incredibly fun episode,” the exec producer said of the show’s winter finale. “I would definitely watch until the final moment. There’s a surprise at the end that even if people are expecting it, they’re not expecting the way we’re doing it.”

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 2, episode 8 airs on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the synopsis for the episode below:

“When a new Time Aberration is discovered by the Legends, they find themselves headed to 1927 Chicago. The Legends quickly realize that they have been set up by Eobard Thawne, Damien Darhk and the newest member of the Legion of Doom, Malcolm Merlyn. While everyone is trying to help fix what they think is the mission, Jax (Franz Drameh) encourages a reluctant Stein (Victor Garber) to share his secret with the other Legends. Stein is taken captive and Sara (Caity Lotz) must make the tough choice of either stopping the Legion of Doom or saving Stein. Meanwhile, Mick gets an unexpected visitor and is not sure how to handle it.”
