The Legion of Doom creates a new reality, called Doomworld, in Season 2, episode 16 of “Legends of Tomorrow.” But instead of just wiping the Legends from existence, the Legion devices personal punishments for each of their nemeses in this version of the world. However, penalizing the Legends is not Eobard’s (Matt Letscher) main goal in creating this alternate world, because the speedster’s motivation turns out to be more personal than that.

“The primary objective is to release himself from the Black Flash,” Letscher told Entertainment Weekly. “Once the Black Flash is erased from existence, then he can focus on his original mission with Barry (Grant Gustin). I don’t know how or when that might play out at any time, so I can’t enlighten you in any way, but everything that’s been holding him up all season long is gone in the blink of an eye and it’s working out exactly how he hoped it might.”

In Doomworld, Sara (Caity Lotz) and Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) work as minions for Damien Darhk (Neal Mc Donough); Ray (Brandon Routh) is a janitor; Nate (Nick Zano) is a conspiracy theorist and Stein (Victor Garber) works at S.T.A.R. Labs under the supervision of his cruel boss, Jax (Franz Drameh). Despite all these alterations, Mick (Dominic Purcell) — who betrayed his fellow Legends at the end of last episode — appears unchanged, so he’s basically team’s only hope to get out of this alternate reality.

In the trailer for episode 16, Mick admits that he “made a terrible mistake” by handing the Spear of Destiny to the Legion of Doom. And to make up for his fault, Mick seems to assemble the team together so they can undo what the Legion did. However, the synopsis for the episode states that being the hero is hard for Mick, so his mission to save the world by bringing the Legends back together won’t be easy for him.

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 2, episode 16, aptly titled “Doomworld,” airs on Tuesday, March 28 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
