Amaya’s wicked granddaughter returns in the midseason premiere of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

In a new trailer for Season 3, episode 10 of the CW series, Kuasa (Tracy Ifeachor) hits Nate (Nick Zano) in the face inside the Waverider. And even though he’s all steeled-up when she attacks him, the Water Witch surprisingly manages to knock the historian out. Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Seller), who witnesses how it all goes down, couldn’t be more worried for Nate.

“[But] the thing that Amaya is really struggling with is she’s basically learned what her destiny is, and therefore what the destiny of her two granddaughters are, barring Kuasa,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly of the Anansi Totem bearer, who is also the granddaughter of Mari McCabe (Megalyn Echikunwoke).

“One of those destinies is really positive and heroic, and the other destiny is kind of lousy,” Guggenheim continued. “Kuasa’s definitely fallen in with the wrong crowd, as it were. So Amaya is struggling with that classic time-travel dilemma, which is, ‘I have two things that put a lot of weight on me — I have knowledge of the future, and I have the ability, through time travel, to change it. What am I going to do?’ And that’s something that is a struggle that she is going to really be risking all throughout the year.”

Elsewhere in the recently released promo clip, Sara (Caity Lotz) and Constantine (Matt Ryan) come face to face with a girl possessed by a demon. As Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly, the demon knows Sara’s name, so Constantine “comes to the Legends to basically talk to Sara and to find out what is Sara’s connection to this girl.”

According to the synopsis for the hour, the Legends agree to accompany Constantine to a present-day psychiatric hospital and are surprised to discover who the occult detective is trying to help. During the exorcism, Sara, Constantine, and Leo (Wentworth Miller) go missing, leaving Ray (Brandon Routh) and Zari (Tala Ashe) to try to take care of Constantine’s client.

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 3, episode 10, titled “Daddy Darkhest,” airs on Monday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
