One of Hollywood’s most notorious Lotharios may be ready to settle down.

Leonardo DiCaprio, the megawatt star of the upcoming “Great Gatsby” film adaptation, has been linked to some of the most gorgeous and talented women on the planet. Over the years, he’s dated Gisele Bundchen, Erin Heatherton, Blake Lively, and a bevy of other beauties.

Despite his illustrious dating history, the 39-year-old actor isn’t opposed to the idea of getting hitched. In an interview with Extra, DiCaprio explained his mind-set when approaching complex matters such as relationships and marriage.

"I take it as it comes. We'll see what happens in the future. I don't try to determine what the future will be. I take it day by day,” he told Extra.

While some men panic about turning 40, DiCaprio insists that he’s feeling great.

“I feel better than ever. Am I supposed to feel bad about that?” he said, laughing.

Still, the former “Titanic” star is planning on taking some time off from acting. He’s spent the last two years filming his roles in “The Great Gatsby," “Django Unchained" and “The Wolf of Wall Street” back-to-back.

"To me, right now it's about getting a little breather, getting some time off," he said. "Not a permanent break or not an indefinite period, but you know, just a few months off to do some other things."

DiCaprio’s role in Baz Luhrmann’s new adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” may be his most challenging role yet. During the interview with Extra, he acknowledged that taking on the role of socialite Jay Gatsby was a risk.

“It’s one of the most celebrated novels of all time. It’s classic American literature. Everyone has their own interpretation of these characters and these people,” he told Extra.

“So when you make a movie, you have to be much more specific about everything that you do, and you have to make choices as an actor and as a storyteller that dramatize these brilliant chapters. I think it’s a risk, just in the sense that it’s so beloved and you’re almost setting yourself up for criticism in a lot of ways.”

Despite his weighty new role and hectic career, DiCaprio says he’s more content than ever.

"I have absolutely nothing to complain about," he told Extra. "There's a certain price to everything, but every time I listen to myself talk about those prices, I get sick to my stomach because I'm so fortunate to do what I do. Really, I'm a lucky person."
