“Lethal Weapon” actor Damon Wayans shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself with guest star Malcolm-Jamal Warner from the set of the FOX series.

“Today with @malcolmjamalwar, a very cool dude. #LethalWeapon #BTS #theohuxtable,” Wayans wrote on Twitter along with the pic of the two posing in their respective costumes.

As previously reported by Variety, Warner will play David Reed on the buddy cop series. David is the stern captain of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department who is willing to look the other way to protect his men — and his career.

Shortly after his casting was announced, Warner took to Twitter to share his excitement about working with Wayans and Kevin Rahm. “The grind is oh so real. Gonna be fun to work w the oh so funny @damonwayans & the oh so talented @kevinprahm,” he wrote on the social networking site, before noting that his character on the series isn’t really a “nice guy.”

Before landing a guest-starring role on “Lethal Weapon,” the 46-year-old actor recently recurred on USA Network’s “Suits,” TNT’s “Major Crimes” and FX’s “American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson,” and “American Horror Story: Freak Show.”

Warner’s casting was revealed just hours after it was announced that FOX picked up “Lethal Weapon” for a full season, which extended the show’s Season 1 to 18 episodes.

“‘Lethal Weapon’ delivers an explosive and wildly entertaining core relationship between two cops, with dynamic performances by Damon Wayans [Roger Murtaugh] and Clayne Crawford [Martin Riggs], surrounded by cinematic action, endearing humor and true heart,” said Fox entertainment president David Madden in a statement announcing the full-season order.

“[Executive producers] Matt Miller, McG, Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz have done a tremendous job on this show, which has proven to be a self-starter and solid companion for ‘Empire.’ We are thrilled to add these episodes to ‘Lethal Weapon’s’ first season.”

“Lethal Weapon’s” next episode, titled “Split Milk,” airs on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 8 p.m. FOX. Check out the synopsis and preview clip for the episode below:

“Murtaugh delves deep into the psyche of a former navy seal who is wanted for criminal activity, and draws parallels between him and his partner, Riggs, who also served in the military. Riggs’ connection to the suspect threatens to interfere with the case, but it also forces him to open up to Murtaugh.”
