Adrian Pasdar has booked a guest-starring role in Season 2 of “Lethal Weapon.”

According to TVLine, Pasdar will play a “con artist grifter” in episode 4 of the sophomore run of the Fox series. Showrunner Matt Miller said that the episode opens with a scene in which Pasdar’s character robs the passengers of a private jet and winds up jumping out in a parachute. Miller added that the hour involves “a father-daughter story,” which more likely features Murtaugh’s (Damon Wayans) relationship with her eldest daughter Riana (Chandler Kinney).

Pasdar, who recently recurred as Glenn Talbot on ABC’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and as Nolan Burgess on USA Network’s “Colony,” is the latest addition to the growing list of newcomers in Season 2 of “Lethal Weapon.” The 52-year-old actor joins previously announced series newcomers Andrew Creer, Michael Hurd, Rex Linn and Chase Mangum.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Creer will play the recurring role of Zach Bowman, an attractive and enthusiastic detective on LAPD’s robbery-homicide division who partners with detective Sonya Bailey (Michelle Mitchenor). Zach has climbed the ranks quickly through a few lucky heroic moments on the job. He also becomes the poster child of LAPD as his accomplishments have helped the division redeem its image after a series of disasters Riggs (Clayne Crawford) and Murtaugh caused.

Hurd will play LAPD chief Gina Santos. Deadline reported that Santos is Captain Brooks Avery’s (Kevin Rahm) new boss, who has an interesting past with Murtaugh. Murtaugh, who is happily married to Trish (Keesha Murtaugh), is going to be paralyzed by Santos’ arrival, and the sexual tension between the two — which may be just in his head — will affect his performance at his job.

Linn, meanwhile, will play Riggs’ father. He will appear in multiple episodes in Texas-set flashback scenes alongside Mangum who will be playing a teenage version of Riggs. TVLine reported that the decision to explore the relationship between Riggs and his off-kilter dad is part of the show’s plan to inform about Riggs’ issues in the present day.

In addition to his guest-starring gig on “Lethal Weapon,” Pasdar will also be seen next in Season 3 of “Supergirl” as ruthless real-estate developer Morgan Edge.

“Lethal Weapon” Season 2 premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.
