Murtaugh asks Scorsese for a favor in this week’s episode of “Lethal Weapon.”

In a sneak peek from Season 2, episode 6 of the Fox series, Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) visits Scorsese (Jonathan Fernandez) at the morgue to get an update on the examination of the corpse connected to the case Murtaugh and Riggs (Clayne Crawford) are currently investigating. But Scorsese feels that it’s not the only reason why Murtaugh came to the morgue, and the medical examiner turns out to be right.

“How may I assist you?” a concerned Scorsese asks Murtaugh after providing him with new information needed for the case.

“I need you to run an analysis on these two hairs,” Murtaugh replies.

When Scorsese mentions that he doesn’t remember finding any hairs at the crime scene, Murtaugh says that it’s for a different case. “I need you to test them for marijuana but don’t put the result on the system.”

Scorsese quickly gets suspicious of Murtaugh. But when Scorsese asks why Murtaugh doesn’t want to put the result on the system, Trish’s (Keesha Sharp) husband gives Scorsese a threatening look that leads him to say, “I don’t need to know and I’ll keep it between us because I trust your judgment.”

According to the synopsis for the episode, Murtaugh finds a joint stashed in his kitchen. So in an effort to bust either his son Roger (Dante Brown) or his daughter Riana (Chandler Kinney), Murtaugh brings the joint to Scorsese for testing.

Elsewhere in the episode, Riggs runs into his childhood friends and comes to realize that they might be mixed up in the robbery-homicide case he and Murtaugh are investigating. As seen in the trailer for the episode, Riggs and his friend Jake (Linds Edwards) have a pretty intense reunion, which involves a car chase, a scuffle, and a failed apprehension. For reasons yet to be revealed, Riggs is supposed to arrest Jake. But when Jakes asks Riggs to let him go, the troubled cop surprisingly grants his request without a second thought.

As expected, Murtaugh is pissed about what Riggs did. “Why did you let him go?” Murtaugh asks his partner. “What do you owe this dude?”

Riggs answers, “When I was at my weakest, Jake saved my life.”

“Lethal Weapon” Season 2, episode 6, titled “Gold Rush,” airs tonight at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
