The Romanian leu rose to a 4-day high of 3.1749 against the US dollar after Romania's central bank retained interest rates at 10 percent on Tuesday. The central bank maintained rate as it tries to balance a grim economic outlook with concerns over a weak currency. If the leu ticks up further, 3.128 is seen as the next target level. The dollar-leu pair that closed yesterday's deals at 3.1978 is currently trading near 3.18.
