LG Electronics has just announced new color options for its G6 flagship phone and Q6 mid-range offering. The South Korean giant made the announcement ahead of next month’s Mobile World Congress where it is expected to unveil an upgraded version of its V30 high-end handset.

LG took to its online newsroom Tuesday to reveal that its V30 color options are coming to the G6 and Q6 smartphones. To be specific, the G6 is getting the Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet and Raspberry Rose. On the other hand, the Q6 is getting just the Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet color options.

When the South Korean tech company launched the G6 early last year, the device came in five color variants, namely: Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Mystic White Terra Gold and Marine Blue. LG believes that by introducing new color options, the G6 could appeal to more consumers. The company said same thing about the Q6 mid-ranger.

“With the introduction of the new LG G6 and LG Q6 colors, consumers have more options than ever before in finding a smartphone that best expresses their individuality,” LG explained its latest move in a press release.

The company then went on to explain that the Moroccan Blue variant is inspired by the beautiful blue buildings of Chefchaouen City in Morocco, while the Lavender Violet is perfect for both men and women who like the finer things in life. Meanwhile, the Raspberry Rose option is said to be perfect for occasions such as Valentine’s Day.

“LG is focusing on producing smartphones that are both high quality and emotionally expressive,” LG Electronics’ Mobile Communications Company vice president and head of product planning Park Hee-wook said. “We want customers to be able to express their distinct personalities through LG’s unique and diverse range of color options.”

LG said that the new G6 and Q6 color options will first roll out in its home country starting next month. It will then bring all new color variants to key markets worldwide. It didn’t provide specific release dates, but it did state that additional details will be announced locally in the markets that will be receiving the new color options.

The announcement of the new color options comes weeks ahead of MWC 2018 where LG is expected to introduce a new version of its V30 flagship phablet. The upgraded handset is reportedly called V30+‘α’ and it is believed to come with advanced AI capabilities and possibly new features.
