South Korea's LG Electronics said on Thursday that it has decided to issue new shares worth 1.06 trillion Korean won ($944.9 million) to fund research and development and facility investments.

The world's No.2 TV maker and third-biggest handset vendor said in a regulatory filing the 19 million shares will be priced at 55,900 won per share. ($1 = 1121.850 Korean Won)
