LG’s flagship phone for 2015, the LG G4, is going to be available in the U.S and the U.K. very soon. Its global rollout is expected to follow, though it will be made available to buyers in different parts of the world at varying intervals.

The LG G4 has come to compete with the likes of the Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and other flagship phones that have already rolled out this year. The announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S6 received nearly universal acceptance. While it wouldn’t be fair to draw a line about what is better or worse between these brands, there is need to mention a few reasons why a user might prefer the LG G4 over the Samsung Galaxy S6. Here are five reasons that may compel a buyer to choose the LG G4, compiled by Phone Arena.

Premium Appeal

The LG G4 sets itself apart with its leather-back variant for those who want to distance themselves from low-grade materials. While other high-end handsets are aiming for glass and metal, LG has something that no other smartphone brand is offering at present.

Unique Features

The LG G4, influenced by the curvy designs of other handsets like the Galaxy S6 Edge, LG G Flex 2 and Galaxy Note Edge, brought something similar but comes with a modern shape and uniquely placed keys. For example, the volume rocker and power switch are found at back of device under the camera.

Better Screen To Body Ratio

For a relatively small body, the LG G4brings its users a large 5.5-inch display. It has a screen to body ratio of 72.46 percent compared to the Galaxy S6 edge, which has a ratio of 71.75 percent. This means that despite the small size of the phone, users can enjoy a larger screen display on the LG G4. Also, the display supports a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Removable Battery

Users who dislike non-removable batteries will be frustrated by the Galaxy S6 as it decided to go this route, but the LG G4 creates a peace of mind for such users with the replaceable battery.

External Storage

The LG G4 brings a storage option of only 32 GB, but it comes with a very important feature: a microSD card slot. On the other side, the Galaxy S6 does not feature one. However, it comes with three storage variants of 128 GB, 64 GB and 32 GB with each variant costing an extra $100 from the lowest up.

Bonus LG G4 Feature

Apart from the Phone Arena's above-mentioned features of the LG G4, there is another killer feature that can easily help users choose the LG flagship over the Galaxy S6. LG is offering exciting freebies along with the G4 flagships. On purchase of the LG G4, the company is offering a 32 GB microSD card, a 3,000 mAh battery and a battery charging cradle for free.
