Baird (Rebecca Romijn) will have the most difficult task in the finale installment of “The Librarians” Season 4: to bring back the Librarians together. The mission will be very tough since she is brought to a world where the Library never existed. Also, is there still hope for Jenkins (John Larroquette) to come back after what happened last week?

According to the synopsis for “The Librarians” Season 4, episode 12, titled “And the Echoes of Memory,” Baird will be sent to a horrible and unrecognizable dimension where the Library never existed. The rest of the gang will be there, but none of them will have the slightest idea of who Baird is and what she’s talking about. However, she should bring the Librarians together before time runs out or this world will become the new reality and the Library will never exist.

A sneak peek at the finale of the TNT adventure series shows Baird approaching Stone (Christian Kane) in a world that appears to be set in the past. In this dimension, Stone is a man working for a company that sells used cars. When Baird calls out Stone’s name, the former Librarian responds quickly but he doesn’t recognize the person in front of him.

“Hello little lady. Can I help you?” a surprised Stone asks Baird. Before Baird could even answer, Stone says, “Of course I can,” while leading Baird to the cars that are displayed in front of the shop. “You can choose between these fine cars with a little assistance,” Stone resumes. Baird then grabs the chance to ask Stone if he remembers her, but he shrugs it off. Interestingly, when Baird mentions “The Library,“ Stone’s expression changes as he confesses that he’s dreamt about it. But he then scrambles to run away from Baird thinking that it’s weird for someone to know about his dreams.

Even though Stone does not recognize Baird in the sneak peek, fans shouldn’t be too worried. In an exclusive clip that was uploaded onto the show’s official Twitter page, Cillian (Lindy Booth), Jones (John Kim) and Stone are seen teaming up to rescue Baird. This means the trio could regain their memories at some point in the finale episode. Hopefully, they’ll regain them before it’s too late for Baird, who gets captured by Nicole (guest star Rachel Nichols) as seen in the promo clip.

Meanwhile, fans are also waiting for the possibility of Jenkins’ return in the final episode of this season. Last week, Jenkins got killed because of Baird’s misstep in her plan to fool The Library. There are two ways for the fan-favorite character to come back: the Librarians could travel back in time to save Jenkins, or they could use a resurrection spell, according to TV Fanatic.

“The Librarians” Season 4, episode 12 airs Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 8 p.m. on TNT.
