A Greek official has told the Associated Press that a private Libyan jet has crossed through Greek-monitored airspace from Libya to Egypt.

The official said the plane, a small civilian aircraft, flew through the airspace monitored by Greek air-traffic controllers for about 15 minutes on Wednesday.

The official did not say who was on the plane.

Meanwhile, Greek state television reported that the plane belongs to the Libyan government but cited no source for its information.

AP indicated that there have been no public communication between the Libyan government and Egypt's ruling military council generals since the Libyan uprising erupted in mid-February.
