Nicki Minaj started a feud with '90s rap star Lil’ Kim when she threw some major shade during her acceptance speech at the 2015 BET Award in Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater on Sunday. Even though she didn’t call out Lil’ Kim by name, it seemed clear she directed it towards her.

Now, the pint-size Queen Bee is not backing down. Minaj’s words didn’t hurt her and she thinks the “Anaconda” rapper should have acknowledged her for paving the way, an insider told Hollywood Life in an exclusive report Wednesday.

“She’s the best who’s ever done it and Nicki should be thanking her lucky stars and her fake booty that Kim did it first! Without Kim, there would be no Nicki,” an insider said. “If Nicki thought that her little sly comment would get under Kim’s skin, it didn’t. Kim is a legend in this game.”

It’s been more than 10 years since Lil’ Kim, 40, released a new album. But there are rumors that the Queen Bee will be back in the studio soon to make new music.

Minaj, 32, essentially said during her memorable speech Sunday that Kim has given up on her career. “This is for everyone in this room. I want to tell you to please make it your business to follow your dreams because one day you will look around and your dream will be gone and you will be mad at somebody,” she said when she accepted the Coca-Cola Viewer’s Choice Award. “But be mad at your g-d self.”

Their feud has been brewing since 2014, when Kim said, without naming Nick specifically, “Anything you tryna do, I done did, I gave birth to your style” in the track “Identity Theft.” When the track came out, Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Denise Jones, posted a picture to Instagram of a driver's license with her personal information, including her birthday, but instead Minaj’s face was placed in the picture.
