Lil Peep’s toxicology report has just been released, and it confirmed that the up and rising rapper died due to an accidental Fentanyl and Xanax overdose.

According to New York Daily News, Fentanyl, a synthetic opiate, is 100 times more powerful and dangerous than morphine. It has also been blamed for thousands of overdose cases in the country.

Lil Peep, who died on Nov. 15, also tested positive for marijuana, cocaine, Tramadol and several other prescription opiates. The rapper’s toxicology report, which was issued by the Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that there was no alcohol in his system.

The rapper was found unconscious on board his tour bus before a gig in Tucson, Arizona. Following his death, there were speculations that the 21-year-old died from drug overdose.

His brother, Oskar Ahr, released a statement to People addressing Lil Peep’s death. “We have heard there was some sort of substance he did not expect to be involved in the substance he was taking. He thought he could take what he did, but he had been given something and he didn’t realize what it was,” he said.

Ahr also clarified that his brother did not intentionally take his own life because he wasn’t suicidal. “It was an accident, it really was an accident. He was super happy with where he was in life,” he said.

Sarah Stennett, chief executive of First Access Entertainment, seconded Ahr’s claims. “I do not believe Peep wanted to die, this is so tragic. He had huge ambition and his career was flourishing. I have spoken to his mother and she asked me to convey that she is very, very proud of him and everything he was able to achieve in his short life,” she told the New York Times.

Following his death, Lil Peep’s ex-girlfriend, Bella Thorne, paid tribute to him on social media. The “Famous In Love” star told Lil Peep that he deserved more in life and his greatness didn’t do him justice in the world.

According to US Weekly, Lil Peep and Thorne dated each other for a few months before the actress hung out with Scott Disick in Cannes.
