Rap star Lil Wayne is planning on giving his fans a short break from his music for a while. In a phone interview to DJ Drama on Atlanta's Hot 107.9 radio show, Lil Wayne said that he is going to get on his skateboard and concentrate on skating instead of Rap, for a while.

Lil Wayne who has been producing music and albums at a fast pace thinks that he is all over the place and deserves a vacation. He said, "I kinda feel like I deserve that, I feel like the fans deserve a little No Wayne. I've been everywhere, man. I've been out on everybody's song, I'm still on everybody's song, my artists are doing awesome; I believe the fans deserve some peace from me, so I'll be on my skateboard in the meantime."

It can be understood why this star wants a break from the show biz and the music scene. Since he was 8-years-old, Lil Wayne has been busy with this music career and has been producing music at a fast pace. Be it LPs, solo albums or his mix tapes. His music is all over the place and he makes sure that he produces something from time to time so as to stay on the minds of his fans and give them a regular dose of his music. However, now this star thinks that he is getting tired and a little old and hence, he needs a break.

Lil Wayne told Atlanta's radio station that he is getting a little bored and finds the process of constant music production a little boring and hence he needs to rejuvenate. Wayne said, "Yeah, it does get pretty boring when it comes to the rapping and that kinda stuff. I've done so much of it, I've been doin' it since I was 8. I'm about to be 30 in September and I'm still rappin'. So I kinda feel like I'm gettin' old."

However, he is not completely disappearing from the scene just yet. Wayne confirmed that his Dedication 4 mix tape with Drama is set to release by mid-August. Even though he did not give more details about Dedication 4, this is one mix-tape to look out for.

However, for now, it is skateboarding all the way for Lil Wayne who is putting music and rap on a "backburner" and says, "Rap's taking a backseat to skating, that's all."
