After starting a feud with rapper Lil Yachty, Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex now wants to move on from their short-lived disagreement.

The beef between the two began last week when Funk Flex took to his radio show to call out Yachty and for some reason, Bow Wow, calling the two “mumble rappers” and saying they wouldn’t want to go against a more skilled rapper like Murda Mook.

The “No Hook” rapper eventually responded to Flex’s diss, tweeting, “If it ain’t one hot 97 dj it’s another lmao,” referring to his feud with Hot 97 radio personality, Ebro Darden. But now, Flex wants to leave the feud in 2016.

The DJ took to Facebook on Tuesday morning and reposted a video of Yachty talking about him. In the video’s caption, Funk Flex wrote, “My brother @lilyachty it’s love… Let’s move on.”

According to Flex, it was Yachty’s comments about The Notorious B.I.G. earlier this year, Lil Yachty said he couldn’t name five Biggie songs. Flex said the rapper’s comments took him to a bad place and asked Yachty to show a little more respect to Biggie.

“I’m sure you would want us to respect who you grew up listening to,” Flex wrote. “Just asking u to respect the B.I.G. I’m not saying you [sic] craft is bad... Bars is equal (not less than your craft) I wish u more success but just ask u to do alittle [sic] homework.”

Flex then went on to reveal how he himself made comments about other legendary rappers that he wasn’t proud of. “I’m guilty myself about saying things about [Tupac] I maybe should have said but I did learn from my experience,” he wrote. “I see you not taking it personal so I won’t also… Love… We move forward.”

As one of hip-hop’s hottest stars in 2016, Yachty has found himself as the target of hate for many industry veterans, including producer Pete Rock. The producer previously called Lil Yachty “trash” and said his fans have no brains. While Yachty has his haters among hip-hop fans, he doesn’t even consider himself a rapper. When asked by Hot 97’s Ebro if he considered himself a rapper, Lil Yachty said no and revealed he would rather be considered an artist.
