Limited Brands (NYSE: LTD), the company which owns retail giants such as Victoria's Secret, Pink, Henri Bendel, Bath & Body Works, La Senza, C.O., Bigelow and White Barn Candle Co., reported a 6 percent increase in sales last month, as compared to May 2010.

The company reported net sales of $717.4 million for May 2011 compared to $657.3 million in May 2010.

There was also a comparable 13 percent increase in in-store sales. Limited Brands reports net store sales of $2.934 billion for the 17 weeks preceding May 28, 2011, as compared to $2.589 billion during the same time frame last year.

Limited Brands operates 2,633 specialty stores in the U.S. and its brands are sold in more than 800 locations world-wide.
