Bradley Cooper is back as Eddie Morra in CBS’ TV adaptation of the 2011 movie “Limitless.” A new trailer of the TV series shows Eddie giving Brian [Jake McDorman] the same pill seen in the movie, which gives him incredible powers.

The trailer of the movie posted on SpoilerTV shows Eddie telling Brian he can become “somebody that matters” by simply taking the NZT48 pill. Brian experiences a superhuman increase in productivity, increased hand-to-eye coordination, greater physical attraction, courage and other abilities.

The powers allow him to read through dozens of books quickly, perform strenuous physical activities with ease, play the guitar well enough to attract a crowd and beat people at chess. These powers come with some side effects, however, and they include insomnia, nausea, vomiting, exhaustion, brain damage, blackouts, rapid aging, psychosis and possible death.

A previously released trailer of the series gave more details about the main plot. While Brian enjoys the powers of the pill given to him, he is also chased by the FBI. There are a series of deaths related to the NZT48 and Brian is suspected to be involved.

The trailer explains how the Brian gets extraordinary powers by taking the pill and how he uses it to evade capture. He will have to use his new found powers to help uncover the conspiracy behind the NZT48. Brian will attempt to team up with FBI agent Rebecca [Jennifer Carpenter], who wants to use the protagonist as a resource to help solve crimes.

Some of the other cast members are Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio as Nasreen Awad, Dillon Mathews as Agent John Mathers and Kathleen Hays as Sabrina. Deadline reported Colin Salmon will be joining the series as one of the cast members.

Salmon is said to be playing the role of Jared Sands. The character is a former intelligence officer who works as a “fixer” for Eddie. His main task in the series is to watch Brian and ensure he is doing exactly what he is being told to do by Eddie.
