On Wednesday a photo surfaced on the Facebook page for the coming movie The Canyons that shows Lindsay Lohan lying in bed next to James Deen, a porn star. The Canyons was written by American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis and is expected to feature heavy full-frontal nudity from the actors, according to The Daily Mail.

Since Ellis announced last month Lohan had won the part, the troubled actress has had a very busy schedule. She's also been shooting her roles in the other upcoming movies Liz and Dick and Lady in a Porsche Smushed Against an 18-Wheeler as she tries to revive her career after a series of arrests and other ugly incidents.

While Lohan only has a few major roles to her name, her new co-star has plenty of experience in front of the camera. James Deen, described by The Daily Mail as Ryan Gosling of porn, has appeared in more than 4,000 movies and the titles aren't quite as family-friendly as Lohan's The Parent Trap. Deen will play a handsome fit, a power player and major manipulator ... [who] enjoys setting up three-ways and filming them.

Lohan has long been reported to be playing former adult actress Linda Lovelace, but in the months following her losing that role, she was offered The Canyons, which has been described as a movie about youth, glamour, sex and Los Angeles. She will play Tara, a character that seems very different from the Elizabeth Taylor role Lohan will be playing in Liz and Dick.

Deen told E! Online last month he was excited to work with Lohan, saying he'd never met her but added, if her media image is actually correct, it's just gonna be very, very fun.

Director Paul Schrader, who had previously worked on critical hits including Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, admitted that Lohan wasn't his first choice for the role because of her reputation for being difficult. That changed when the original actress, Monica Gambee, backed out, reluctant to work with a porn actor, according to the The Daily Mail.

Everything that has made her such an interesting screen presence came alive in that test, Schrader said of Lohan. I decided to use her.

The behind-the-scenes photo of Lohan and Deen in bed has only upped the anticipation for Ellis fans, who are used to the writer's sometimes brutal satire of high living.

The trailer for the film doesn't reveal much about the plot, only showing flashes of the city set to Coming Down by the Dum Dum Girls, a song that feels oddly appropriate for the upcoming noir film.
