Actress Lindsay Lohan has been cuffed and sent back to jail, TMZ has reported.

Judge Stephanie Saunter has denied Lohan probation.

Probation is a gift, Saunter said. And there's something called looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Bail is set at $100,000.

Lohan, who wore a white dress and was heavily made up with blush, eyeliner, and lipstick at the hearing, plans to pay to be released.

Prosecutors in the case wanted Lohan back in jail for being terminated from a community service center, to which she owed hours.

Philly.com reports: Lohan had been ordered in April to serve 360 hours at the Downtown Women's Center, an agency that helps homeless women. It is unclear how many hours she completed there, but she was terminated by the center and has been serving hours lately with the American Red Cross.

TMZ reports that Lohan was a no-show for her community service duties nine times. And, when asked by her probation officer, Lohan said that she did not find the Women's Center fulfilling.

Supposedly, the Probation Department - which gave Lohan a glowing review - had no right to switch the actress to duty at the American Red Cross.

ABC News reports that Lohan only completed 12 hours in six months.

Her next hearing is set for Nov. 2. At that time, Lohan could wind up getting up to a year and a half in jail.

The root of all Lohan's legal problems goes back to a DUI from over four years ago.

However, the actress has had a boatload of other problems such as the theft of a $2,500 necklace, drug and alcohol abuse, lack of job security, and - the latest - photos of her with decaying teeth.

Lohan rose to fame in the movies Parent Trap and Mean Girls. Everyone believed there was much potential to be had.
