Monday, the Statistics Lithuania announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 6.3% year-over-year in April, slower than the 7.7% increase in the previous month. A year ago, consumer prices were up 11.7%.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices rose 5.1% annually in April, while clothing and footwear prices dropped 7.5%. Transport charges were down 3.9%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI dropped 0.1% in April.
