RTTNews - Monday, the Statistics Lithuania announced that the consumer price index or CPI rose 5.2% year-over-year in May, slower than the 6.3% increase in the previous month. A year earlier, consumer prices had grown 12%.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices increased 3.6% annually in May, while clothing and foot wear prices dipped 8.6%. Transport charges were down 5.5%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.2% in May, after falling 0.1% in April.
