Wednesday, a report from Statistics Lithuania said consumer prices increased 7.7% year-on-year in March, at a slower pace compared to an 8.7% rise in the previous month.

On an annual basis, prices increased 21% for utilities, while that of healthcare increased 20.4%. Price of alcoholic beverages and tobacco was up 11.8%. At the same time, prices of clothing and footwear, transport as also communications declined 6.2%, 0.8% and 1.5% respectively in March.

Month-on-month, consumer prices were flat in March, after rising 0.3% in the previous month.
