Lithuania's harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP rose 5.9% year-on-year in April, a report by the Statistics Lithuania said Tuesday.

On an annual basis, prices increased the most by 19.5% for utilities, followed by a 19.1% rise in prices of health care. Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products were up 12.5% in April.

Month-on-month, the HICP declined 0.1% in April, reflecting a fall in prices of most sub groups.
