Real Madrid host Barcelona in the first leg of the quarter-finals of Copa Del Rey on Wednesday at Santiago Bernabeu.

Last year, Real Madrid defeated Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey Final, while the two teams are coming off a one-sided affair the last time they play in Madrid.

On Dec. 10, in a La Liga match, Barcelona overcame a very early goal to beat Real Madrid, 3-1. It was a humiliating loss for Los Galacticos, and they will try to avenge the loss in the Cup match.

Jose Mourinho has been quiet about his upcoming lineup. Sergio Ramos might play right back on Wednesday, and it's unsure if Pepe will be in front of the back four. Mourinho won't have Sami Khedira and Alvaro Arbelo, but but winger Angel Di Maria will be back in the lineup.

Both David Villa and Pedro are inactive for Barcelona, which means young forward Alexis Sanchez will play a big role in the match. Seydou Keita is away at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, so Pep Guardiola will have to make due with a thinner bench.

Jose Manuel Pinto will be starting over Victor Valdes in goal.

As always, a Real Madrid - Barcelona encounter means a renew of the debate between fans as to who is better: Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

Messi was recently named the FIFA Player of the Year, and is having a typical great season.

On the other hand, Ronaldo has heard some jeers from Real Madrid fans, and has had some inconsistent play this season. Mourinho has come to Ronaldo's defense.

Barcelona has gotten the best of Real Madrid in La Liga and Champions League over the past several matches, but Guardiola is not taking Real Madrid for granted despite the convincing win in December.

Going to the Bernabeu we must be wise to get through, Guardiola said. The only way to get a result and have the tie alive is to go to win the game. Madrid are the strongest opponents that we can find. Against Madrid you cannot feel a favorite.
