Some of the best "League of Legends" squads in the world will be duking it out during All-Star Weekend in Shanghai and culminate with the tournament finale on Sunday. The competing teams hail from North America, Europe and Asia. The next match, which will see North America LCS Team and Europe LCS Team square off, is slated to begin tomorrow at 3 a.m. EDT.
Two matches have already been played this morning. The first, which took place at 3 a.m. EDT, saw North America LCS Team taking on and falling to China LPL Team. Liu "PDD" Mou took home Match MVP honors with a 9.7 Kill/Death Average (KDA) while accumulating 375 gold per minute. In Game 1 of this match, PDD chose to play Rumble, the AP Carry, while opting for a tankier champion with Zac in Game 2.
In the second match, at 6:30 a.m. EDT, Europe LCS Team battled Korea Champions Team, with Europe falling to Korea. Choi "inSec" In-seoK was a terror, rocking melee menace Lee Sin in both Game 1 and Game 2, riding him to a 21 KDA and 21,000 total accumulated gold.
The losers of both of today's matches, North America LCS Team and Europe LCS Team, will face off to determine who will advance to the next round.
