Nine people were confirmed killed and 69 were injured after a vintage World War II fighter hit the ground on Friday creating a missile like impact with a 3 feet deep crater in the tarmac and 8 feet across with debris scattered over more than an acre.

The plane hit about 65 feet while thousands were watching the planes sped by just a few hundred feet above the ground. A 74-year-old racer and Hollywood stunt pilot was flying the plane which disintegrated in a ball of dust, debris and bodies as screams of Oh my God! spread through the crowd.
