There might not be a more balanced and dominant team than No. 1 overall seed Louisville.

The Cardinals made quick work of North Carolina A&T in the second round, and now have No. 8 Colorado State in their sights for a third round Saturday matchup at Rupp Arena in Lexington.

Guard Russ Smith’s 23 points and Peyton Siva’s eight assists powered Louisville’s 79-48 crushing of the Aggies on Thursday, and made the NCAA selection committee look smart in the process.

Wayne Blackshear also pumped in 12 points and five rebounds to go along with his four steals, and the Cardinals generated 25 A&T turnovers. It was the sophomore’s first double-digit scoring game in eight tries.

Louisville has now fired off 11 straight wins, and has an average scoring margin of 17 points during the streak.

Colorado State’s Dorian Green will look to clip the Cardinals, after netting 26 points in the Rams 84-72 dispatching of Missouri in the second round.

Top scorer during the regular season, forward Colton Iverson, was limited to four points and 13 rebounds, and fouled out after 23 minutes of work.

One of two Mountain West teams left, it was the Rams third ever tournament victory, and first since 1989.

The game tips-off at 5:15 p.m. Eastern and will be broadcast by CBS, or watch a free live online stream at the NCAA March Madness official site here.

Betting Odds: Louisville is favored by 11 points.

Over/Under: 135 points

Prediction: Iverson and Green will have find a way to assert themselves early in the game for Colorado State to have a chance. Otherwise the Cardinals will get out on the break, with Smith posting another top game.
