‘Lucifer’
Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) stars in the newest “Believe Me” teaser from “Lucifer” Season 2. FOX

“Lucifer” Season 2 has been confirmed to have a total of 13 episodes just like season 1, but the writers of the FOX TV series may have just hinted on the possibility of the Tom Ellis starrer having more than 13 episodes. On the show’s official Twitter page, one fan asked the writers to confirm or deny the rumors that “Lucifer” Season 2 will have more episodes. The writers replied by saying that as of now, 13 is what FOX confirmed with them. Still, adding more episodes could be a possibility.

Meanwhile, the writers of the hit FOX TV show also confirmed that they are currently working on episode 9. The installment will be directed by Mike Costa, but other details are still being kept under wraps. More recently, it was announced that episode 6 will be entitled “Monster,” and there are speculations that the main storyline will focus on Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) and her two sons Lucifer (Ellis) and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside). After all, Spoiler TV reported that Charlotte doesn’t have a good relationship with Lucifer so this could be the installment where the two will finally butt heads.

In other news, executive producer Joe Henderson told TV Line that Maze’s (Lesley-Ann Brandt) backstory will be featured in the series. More specifically, her relationship with Charlotte when she was still the chief enforcer in Hell will be unveiled. “A lot of fun will be had with Mom being back on Earth and Maze wanting to finish what she started,” Henderson said. With this, Maze and Charlotte’s dynamic on Earth is something viewers need to watch out for. In the teaser released by FOX, Maze wasn’t happy to hear from Lucifer that his mom has escaped Hell.

“Lucifer” Season 2 will premiere on FOX on Sept. 19 at 9 p.m. ET.
