‘Lucifer’
Will Tom Ellis star in more episodes of “Lucifer?” FOX

“Lucifer” will most likely be renewed for Season 3!

Just recently, the writers of the hit series responded to fans who are wondering if the Tom Ellis-starrer will continue to air on FOX for more seasons. Even though the network executives haven’t made any announcements yet, the writers said they are confident that they will get the green light before Season 2 wraps up. For now, they encouraged fans to tune in to episode 11 when “Lucifer” returns on Jan. 16.

In “Stewardess Interrupts,” Lucifer (Tom Ellis) finds out from his mom, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), that Chloe (Lauren Geman) is a miracle child. The latter was also sent to Earth to cross paths with the lead character. In the previous episodes, Lucifer couldn’t understand why he felt vulnerable toward Chloe. He was also unsure why Chloe could make him do things he never thought he would do. Now that Lucifer will finally learn the truth about his partner, he may treat her a bit differently.

While speaking with TV Line, showrunner Ildy Modrovich said that Charlotte will also do everything in her power to manipulate Lucifer into returning to Hell with the help of Chloe. But doing so could jeopardize Lucifer and Chloe’s relationship. “If Chloe is the key to getting home, and Mom will stop at nothing to get home, will Chloe’s relationship with Lucifer be put in jeopardy? The answer is: of course,” she said.

Meanwhile, Chloe will also find herself in distress in Season 2, episode 11. In the teaser released by FOX, Chloe tells Lucifer that her nose has been excessively bleeding. Lucifer looks even more concerned when Chloe adds that she feels something is wrong with her. As of late, it is unclear whether or not Lucifer will also tell Chloe that she is a miracle baby.

“Lucifer” Season 2, episode 11 will air on FOX on Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. EST.
