The new “Lucifer” Season 2 teaser shows Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) reuniting with Chloe Decker (Lauren German) and worrying about his mom Charlotte's (Tricia Helfer) escape from hell.

In the clip released by FOX, Lucifer and Chloe have reunited and started teaming up for cases again. In Season 1, the two characters had a brief falling out after Chloe thought that she couldn’t trust Lucifer and believed that he was evil.

After proving to her that he’s not a bad guy, Lucifer seemingly forgave Chloe, but it’s unclear how their relationship will be affected by the fight in the upcoming episodes. Lucifer and Chloe won’t always be together in Season 2 because of the arrival of a new character named Ella (Aimee Garcia), who Lucifer will feel especially drawn to, according to TV Line.

Meanwhile, the teaser also featured Helfer’s Charlotte attacking an unknown male character. The scene confirms that Charlotte has a lot of anger inside of her.

However, Helfer told TV Line that there’s more to Charlotte than what meets the eye. After all, one of the reasons why she escaped from hell was so she could be with her sons. According to the actress, Charlotte’s backstory will be unveiled throughout Season 2.
