The cast of “Lucifer” Season 3 recently reunited for their first table read.

On Twitter, showrunner Ildy Modrovich shared a group photo featuring Tom Ellis, Lauren German, D.B. Woodside, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer and Kevin Alejandro. Modrovich captioned the photo by saying that she’s extremely excited for what is to come for the hit FOX TV series. German, who plays the role of Chloe Decker in “Lucifer,” led the first table read for Season 3. After their gathering, she posted a tweet thanking everyone for their cooperation. A few days before the cast and crew reunited, the writers of “Lucifer” revealed that the first production day for the series will kick off on Monday.

Meanwhile, the official title for “Lucifer” Season 3, episode 1 has just been released. “They’re Back, Aren’t Day” was written by Modrovich, and it will be directed by Karen Gaviola. The title for episode 2 is still being kept under wraps, but executive producer Joe Henderson already revealed that he was the one who wrote the installment. On his Twitter account, Henderson also shared that Season 3, episode 2 is one of the hardest episodes he has ever written for the series.

As of late, not a lot of details about Season 3 has been released. What is only known is that Helfer will reprise her role as the real Charlotte, but not as Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) mom, a.k.a. the Goddess. In the finale episode for Season 2, Lucifer urged his mom to return to Heaven, and she finally did in the end. But after the Goddess left the real Charlotte’s body, the latter woke up at the beach, confused about why she was there.

In Season 3, Lucifer and his peers would have to figure out a way to explain to the real Charlotte what happened to her. And even though the Goddess won’t be around during the first few episodes of “Lucifer” Season 3, it is possible that she will return either as Charlotte or another female character.

“Lucifer” Season 3 will premiere on FOX on Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. EST.
