"Charlie's Angels" star Lucy Liu has joined the fourth season of TNT's police drama "Southland" as a guest star, TNT announced on Monday.

Liu will appear throughout the upcoming season -- which premieres in January -- as a member of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Liu, who starred in the TV miniseries "Marry Me" last year, recently reprised her voice role as Viper in "Kung Fu Panda 2," and provides the voice of Silvermist in the upcoming "Tinker Bell and the Mysterious Winter Woods" and "Tinker Bell and the Pixie Hollow Games."

She also co-stars with Russell Crowe and RZA in the upcoming action film "The Man With the Iron Fists," as Madame Blossom.

"Southland," which follows the exploits of Los Angeles police as they attempt to maintain control over the urban jungle, is co-executive produced by Christopher Chulak and John Wells.
