Lucy Liu posted an adorable photo of her newborn son on Twitter and Instagram. It was a black and white photo of the “Elementary” actress, lovingly gazing at her baby cradled into her arms.

“Introducing the new little man in my life, my son, Rockwell Lloyd Liu. In [love]!” Liu wrote. The 46-year-old-actress also thanked her fans for all the well wishes and support she says she had been receiving since her announcement of her baby’s arrival on Thursday, August 27, E!Online reported.

Together with a photo of Liu holding up her baby, who looked so comfy wrapped up in a white blanket, she wrote, “Rockwell and I so appreciate your warm wishes.”

After Liu’s announcement of Rockwell Lloyd’s arrival, her rep stated that the “Charlie’s Angels” star is a very proud mother of the baby boy through a gestational carrier, and that both the mom and the baby are “healthy and happy,” reported Huffington Post.

Rockwell Lloyd is Liu’s first child. The actress has always displayed her love for children since doing volunteer work for UNICEF.

In an interview five years ago with Liu, she said that she never felt being under any pressure to get married or to start having her own family at a specific age. She was grateful that her parents did not put any pressure on her in doing so, USA Today reported.

“I don’t have a settling down time,” Liu said. Asked about her biological clock, Liu answered, “Someone threw out the battery…I never feel like it’s too early or too late for anything.” Liu also added, “I don’t ever think for me that this traditional way is the way to go for me because I haven’t had a traditional life.”

Liu is not married or attached to anyone at the moment. She had always been very private about her personal life, but she had been linked in the past to Will McCormack, Zach Helm, and Noam Gottesman.

The “Kill Bill” actress is also part of CBS’ “Elementary,” and will be returning as a voice cast actor for “Kung Fu Panda 3” which will be shown on Jan. 29, 2016.
