Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) just keeps meeting superheroes, but she won’t treat them all the same. Mike Colter, who plays Luke Cage/Power Man, recently teased that when the nurse visits Netflix’s upcoming “Marvel’s Luke Cage,” she won’t handle her relationship with Power Man the same way she did Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox).

“She knows of me, obviously, from a personal standpoint, but it'll be interesting to see because she will deal with me in a different way than she dealt with Matt Murdock,” Colter teased to IGN. “Matt Murdock's character's completely different from mine.”

Claire met Matt during “Daredevil” Season 1 and had a bit of a flirtation with him. However, once she met Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke in “Jessica Jones,” she made it clear that superheroes weren’t welcome in her home anymore. Though she still treated the superpowered humans, she seemed a little more guarded. It isn’t clear if that’s what Colter meant, but he hinted that Claire would become “a very good companion” for Luke. Will it develop into something more?

“I think with Jessica, there's so much chemistry there that we still need to find out are we compatible, and that's the part that's going to be interesting,” Colter added. “As far as Claire is concerned, we have to wait and see how that relationship evolves. Comparatively speaking, we know Jessica has killed my wife, and so we have to get through that.”

While promoting “Daredevil,” Dawson emphasized that Claire wasn’t sticking around for the love story. “My character is a stand-in for the audience,” Dawson told Time. “She’s not a love interest — she’s this skeptical eye looking at this strange situation. She’s the one who can be like, ‘You’re not really good at this.’ That makes it feel more real.”

Even if she isn’t Luke’s girlfriend, she’ll still bring him home to meet her mom. As previously reported, Sonia Braga will play Soledad Temple. The casting announcement hinted that viewers would see Claire in “Luke Cage” much more often than in “Jessica Jones” (where she was only in one episode). Colter confirmed that by saying the nurse would be “a very significant part” of the first season. Before that happens, Claire will appear in “Daredevil” Season 2, which hits Netflix on March 18.

“Luke Cage” Season 1 doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is expected to hit Netflix in late 2016.
