RTTNews - Wednesday, Luxembourg's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies announced that the consumer prices declined 0.29% year-over-year in May, compared to the 0.27% increase in the previous month. This was the first decline since the eighties.

Food and soft drinks prices rose 1.89% annually in May, while clothing and footwear prices increased 0.48%. Transport charges were down 3.89%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.09% in May, slower than the 0.26% increase in the previous month.
