RTTNews - Macau's composite consumer price index rose 2.45% year-on-year in April, faster than a 2.35% rise in March, the Statistics and Census Service or DSEC said Thursday.

During the month, food and non-alcoholic beverage prices were up 6.7%, while clothing and footwear prices rose 11.75%. Miscellaneous goods and service prices increased 4.75%. However, transport prices fell 10.06%.

On a monthly basis, the composite consumer prices declined 0.01% in April, reversing a 0.43% rise in the preceding month.

In the first four months of the year, the consumer prices increased 3.09% from the corresponding period in the previous year.
