RTTNews - Friday, a report from Macau's Statistics and Census Service said the value of exports fell 48.9% year-on-year in April to MOP692 million, reflecting a 70.8% drop in domestic exports and a 14% decline in re-exports.

At the same time, the value of imports slipped 22.3% annually in April to MOP2.95 billion. The trade deficit during the month stood at MOP2.26 billion, down from a MOP2.4 billion deficit in the same month last year.

In the January-April period, exports fell 49.4% and imports declined 21.4% from the corresponding period in the previous year. The trade deficit in this period narrowed to MOP8.4 billion from MOP8.8 billion last year.
