Monday, Macau's Statistics and Census Service or DSEC announced that the jobless rate stood at 3.8% in the January to March period, up from 3.6% in the December to February period.

At the same time, the underemployment rate amounted to 1.8%, larger than the 1.7% in the December to February period.

The unemployed population amounted to 13,000 in the January to March period, an increase of 800 over the previous period.

Total labor force totaled 333,000 in the January to March period. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate stood at 72.4%, marking the same pace as in the preceding period.
