RTTNews - Tuesday, a report by Macau's Statistics and Census Service or DSEC said the composite consumer price index rose 1.1% year-on-year in June, slowing from a 1.82% increase in the preceding month.

Food and non-alcohol prices were up 5.10%, while they rose 9.07% for clothing and footwear, and 13.88% for alcoholic beverages and tobacco. However, transport prices fell 10.06%, due to falling prices of gasoline.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices were up 0.39% in June, faster than a 0.17% rise in May.

In the second quarter, the consumer prices were up 1.79% year-on-year, and in the first six months of the year, the prices climbed 2.54% over the same period last year.
