RTTNews - Tuesday, Macau Statistics and Census Service or DSEC announced that the trade deficit stood at MOP 2.27 billion in May, widening from MOP 2.26 billion deficit in the previous month. A year ago, the trade deficit was MOP 1.99 billion.

Exports dropped 65.7% year-on-year to MOP 570.49 million in May, while imports declined 22.1% to 2.84 billion.

For the January to May period, the trade deficit amounted to MOP 10.71 billion, down from MOP 10.82 billion in a year ago. During the period, exports and imports declined by 21.6% and 53.3%, respectively.
