Macau's trade deficit stood at MOP2.02 billion in February, narrowing from a deficit of MOP2.08 billion in January, a report by the Statistics and Census Service or the DSEC said Tuesday.

Exports plunged 31.9% year-on-year in February, reflecting a 57.8% drop in domestic exports, but a 3.6% rise in re-exports. Total exports amounted to MOP614 million in the month. At the same time, imports dropped 8% to MOP2.64 billion.

In the January to February period, total exports dropped 48.3% on an annual basis, while total imports slipped 16.9%. The trade deficit stood at MOP4.11 billion in this period.
