Mad Men New Season Spoilers, Predictions: Will Don Draper Choose Megan or Betty?
Matt Weiner and the cast of Mad Men have been keeping a tight lid on any details of Season 5's plot, which premieres this Sunday on AMC. Fortunately, Jon Hamm, January Jones and other actors have been dropping subtle hints in recent interviews. Screen Capture

The countdown is on.

With just over one month to go before the return of Mad Men, AMC has unleashed new promos hyping two of its lead characters: Don Draper and Roger Sterling.

While the promos, titled Don is Back and Roger is Back, shed little light on the Season 5 storyline, it's the first look at the much-anticipated return of Mad Men since the show's long contract battle (between Lionsgate, AMC and show creator Matthew Weiner), which ended nearly one year ago. (AMC teased fans in early February with posters and billboards of Don Draper's silhouette falling, accompanied by the date, MARCH 25, referring to the season premiere).

It's a Mad Men movie . . . I don't think anyone's going to think it's two episodes spliced together. There is a story that starts in the middle of it . . . it's one story. The beginning and the end are related to each other, Weiner recently told The Hollywood Reporter.

Weiner last made headlines in November 2011, when he revealed details on the show's ultimate ending.

In an exclusive with Grant Land, Weiner hinted at Don Draper and company tackling the advertising world of the 21st century.

What I'm looking for, and how I hope to end the show, is like . . . it's 2011. Don Draper would be 84 right now. I want to leave the show in a place where you have an idea of what it meant and how it's related to you, Weiner told Grant Land.

Hamm will make plenty of noise in Season 5. Following the footsteps of Slattery, who directed two episodes in Season 4, Hamm will go behind the camera for the new season's second episode.

So what can we expect in Season 5? Will Don Draper go on with his engagement to Megan? Will Joan keep her baby? Will Carla the housekeeper return? (Betty fired her at the end of Season 4).

The Don/Joan dynamic is something that we do explore, and don't' take this the wrong way, but we do explore as the show goes on, Hamm told Radio Times in February.

They have worked together for a long time, they know one another very well and I'll leave it at that, he added.

The two-hour Season 5 premiere of Mad Men airs on AMC Mar. 25 at 10 p.m. EST.
