The quest to win 2015 Teen Choice Awards' Choice Dancer is on! Amidst all of the social media support for former “Dance Moms” star Chloe Lukasiak to win a nomination from the Fox awards show, Maddie Ziegler, who has also been the center of notable buzz online for the category, is speaking out about the possible nomination.

At the opening of “Dance Moms” coach Abby Lee Miller’s West Coast studio ALDC LA (Abby Lee Dance Company Los Angeles) in Santa Monica, California, on Saturday, Maddie told Mingle Media TV Network reporter JJ Snyder winning a nomination would be “amazing.”

Voting for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards nominations are open on Twitter and Instagram now through noon Tuesday Pacific Time. When asked by Snyder what her desired category to win a nomination in would be, the Sia music video star revealed Choice Dancer, a new category added to the annual awards show this year, is her top pick.

“Probably the choice dancer, definitely,” Maddie dished. While the 12 year old said she wanted her entire cast to win an award at the show, she said she wouldn’t mind picking up a solo win.

“It would definitely be so cool to win one by myself. It would be really, really exciting,” Maddie said.

Maddie’s sister and “Dance Moms” co-star Mackenzie Ziegler, 10, said she is also hopeful to be gifted a nomination or two. “I would also say choice dancer,” Mackenzie shared of her desired category. The "It's A Girl Party" singer added that gaining recognition in the “Choice Music: Next Big Thing” category would also be welcomed.

Maddie, Mackenzie, and Chloe, 14, are not the only dancers who are potential shoe-ins for a Teen Choice Awards Choice Dancer nomination. Fellow “Dance Moms” stars Kendall Vertes, Nia Frazier, Kalani Hilliker and JoJo Siwa have also been campaigning for a nomination on social media. Names outside of the Lifetime reality series, including “Dancing With the Stars” professional Mark Ballas and “So You Think You Can Dancer?” choreographer Travis Wall, have also been circulating.

Who will win a nomination for the Teen Choice Awards 2015 choice dancer? “Dance Moms” fans will have to wait and see! The 2015 Teen Choice Awards airs Saturday, Aug. 16, at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.
