Maddie Ziegler has been swinging from the chandeliers for pop singer Sia since 2014, but apparently that didn’t guarantee the Australia songstresses mother a photo op with the “Dance Moms” reality star. Maddie’s mother and co-star Melissa Gisoni is being accused of refusing Sia’s mother, Loene Furler, the chance to take a photo with her daughter at a recent meet-and-greet event for the Lifetime show.

During a “Dance Moms” cast appearance at Norwood Concert Hall in Adelaide earlier this week, Australia's the Advertiser reports that Melissa barred Furler from meeting her daughter Maddie, 12. As most “Dance Moms” viewers are aware, Maddie serves as Sia’s protégé and has starred in two of her hit music videos, “Chandelier" and “Elastic Heart.”

According to the report, Maddie's meeting with Furler took “two weeks” to set up, but Melissa turned down the request for the photo op and meet-and-greet at the “last minute.”

“It’s not going to happen,” Melissa is accused of telling the publication’s photographer after it was revealed that Furler was preparing to meet her child. Furler was reportedly “baffled” by Melissa’s actions and said her daughter Sia had given her permission to take the photo with the dancer.

Despite Melissa’s alleged diss towards Furler, Maddie’s coach and co-star Abby Lee Miller had nothing but kind things to say about Sia while visiting her hometown. “It was important to come to Adelaide because Sia is from here and I wanted Maddie to see her high school and where she grew up,” Abby told the Advertiser.

While Abby had nothing but kind things to say about visiting Sia's old stomping grounds, the infamously touch coach is rumored to not have the greatest relationship with the pop singing sensation. Following the Season 4 finale of “Dance Moms” in October, Abby’s co-star Cathy Nesbitt-Stein hinted that her on-screen rival may not be on the best of terms with Sia, despite Maddie's starring roles in her music videos.

After her team – the Candy Apples – used Sia’s song “Chandelier” for their competition group number, Cathy retweeted a fan’s post stating that she was instructed to use the single because Sia “hated Abby.” The tweet also teased the idea that it was Lifetime’s producers who told her to use the song. Abby didn’t buy into the drama, tweeting that “imitation is the best source of flattery.”

The cast of “Dance Moms” is currently on their 2015 international tour. Their last scheduled stop will take place in Melbourne on March 23.

“Dance Moms” is in its fifth season on Lifetime. New episodes air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT.
