The U.S. pop star Madonna arrived at 2011 Venice Film Festival in Venice on Thursday for the premiere of her directorial début W.E, while the Hollywood actress Kate Winslet made it to the festival for attending the premiere of her film “Carnage,” by Roman Polanski.

Dazzling at 53, a “wrinkle-free” Madonna turned out to be a head-turner, as she arrived in Italian designer Vionnet’s creation at the red carpet. Her grey gown with bright red butterflies added to her youthful look as much as her red stilettos.

Kate Winslet, who was joined by her “Carnage” co-stars Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly, walked down the red carpet in a zipper dress, designed by Victoria Beckham, which she paired with a pair of beaded high heel shoes.

Have a glance at some of the pictures of the two divas, who wowed the crowd at Venice, and find out who looked better – the 53-year-old Madonna or the 1975-born Kate Winslet.
